Launch of Acuity Assist | Pro Bono Legal Advice for People at Risk of Exploitation

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Date: 22nd May 2024
Time: 5.00pm – 8.00pm
Location: Conference Aston, Aston University, Birmingham, B4 7ET.

Join us for an evening of discussion to raise awareness of modern slavery and the exploitation of foreign workers and launch our pro-bono project.

Modern slavery and exploitation are mounting problems in the UK, and the need to protect vulnerable workers is critically important for organisations today.

Understanding the points where foreign workers are most at risk is crucial to ensuring they are able to safely navigate both the workplace and UK society.

Acuity Law’s Immigration team is pleased to join forces with Aston University and Women’s Aid in our joint project, Acuity Assist. Together, we will provide pro bono legal advice to those at risk of exploitation in the UK, as well as initiatives to raise funds and promote wider understanding of the issues.

To celebrate and launch this collaboration, we are hosting a free panel discussion.

Host: Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement for Aston Law School and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Shaid Parveen
