Liz Gibbons has been an integral part in the creation of LUSH Cymru– a new, female-led networking group for women dedicated to delivering and managing affordable housing in Wales. Other founders of the group include key sector organisations and individuals- Caroline Jones of Savills, Gemma Clissett of Lovell, Hannah Welfoot of Yolk Recruitment, and Sophie Taylor of Newport City Homes.

The group aims to create a much-needed space to share sector goals, provide field specific support and create networking opportunities within South Wales. Aligned with Acuity’s intention of expanding our social housing capabilities within the firm, we will be sponsoring the event alongside the founding organisations: Savills, Lovell and Yolk Recruitment. The coming-together of Acuity and these organisations will promote our ‘brand’ within the sector and demonstrate our initiative in plugging the gaps we see in the field, staying connected to clients ‘away from the desk’ and dedicating our time to the non-legal issues which impact Social Housing.

The event is by personal invitation only and is an exciting opportunity to chat informally about the challenges we face, share ideas on making improvements within the sector and, most importantly, build relationships. It will also enable us to share suggestions for the focus of future LUSH Cymru events. The launch will occur at the exclusive Parkgate Hotel, where the Patio terrace has been reserved for our use.
