Key responsibilities 
  • Originating, leading, and overseeing complex corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and general corporate advisory work, with a focus on high-value, strategic matters. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing commercially focused and strategic legal advice across a broad range of corporate matters. 
  • Draft and negotiate key transactional documentation, such as share and asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and investment agreements. 
  • Manage and oversee deal teams, coordinating with specialists in, employment, banking, commercial, real estate, and regulatory disciplines to ensure a seamless client service. 
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting clients at every stage of the business lifecycle. 
  • Drive business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, pitching for new work, cross-selling other services, and expanding the firm’s client base.

About you  

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Partner with at least 10 years PQE in corporate law. You will have strong technical expertise in M&A, private equity, and corporate advisory matters, as well as excellent leadership, negotiation, and client management skills, and the ability to lead and grow a successful corporate practice. 

Personal specification 
  • At least 10 years post-qualification experience at senior level in corporate law gained at a reputable UK law firm.  
     
  • Extensive experience in corporate law, including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring. 
  • Experience advising a diverse client base including SMEs, large corporates, private equity houses, and entrepreneurs. 
  • Proficiency in business development and marketing strategy, with a clear understanding of client acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

Finance & Fee Share Administration

  • Raise invoices on behalf of Consultant Partners in accordance with agreed terms and firm processes.
  • Support Consultant Partners in raising draft client invoices in accordance with our key terms and firm processes.
  • Monitor and manage credit control for consultant-billed matters; liaise with clients and finance team to ensure timely payments.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Consultant Partners in relation to fee share calculations, personal billing queries, and financial reporting.

Consultant support
