Jon Ely is a Consultant Partner in Acuity’s Real Estate team with more than 25 years’ experience advising UK and international clients on high-value, complex and strategically important property matters.

A highly experienced commercial real estate lawyer, Jon advises on the full lifecycle of property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, corporate occupier arrangements, business space transactions, portfolio management and major projects requiring the alignment of property strategy with wider commercial objectives.

Jon has particular expertise in advising businesses where real estate plays a critical role in operational performance, growth and transformation. He is especially well regarded in the London occupier market, where he supports clients with significant business space requirements, helping them structure, negotiate and deliver property solutions that support their long-term strategic ambitions.

Throughout his career, Jon has advised leading UK, US and European organisations across a broad range of sectors including retail, media, education, healthcare, technology and the creative industries. His experience includes managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects where commercial priorities, operational requirements and real estate strategy intersect.

Recognised for his pragmatic and commercially focused approach, Jon works closely with General Counsel, Boards, Chief Financial Officers and senior leadership teams, providing clear, strategic advice on both individual transactions and wider property portfolios.

He also collaborates closely with agents, surveyors, contractors and other professional advisers, bringing together specialist teams to deliver seamless support on complex real estate projects.
