Joy has over 20 years’ experience in managing, avoiding and litigating disputes with a commercial, corporate or property element to them. She also provides commercial risk management advice and has a wealth of commercial experience.   

Joy qualified with Reynolds Porter Chamberlain before moving to Rosenblatt and Brecher.

  • Advising on a High Court trial (GPP Big Field LLP and GPP Langstone LLP-v- Solar EPC Solutions). This was a high-value litigation involving real estate and renewable energy issues. Judgment and costs secured in excess of £2 million
  • Advising on a contested possession action and forfeiture proceedings acting for a landlord in recovering property from a charity running a skate park. This included ancillary issues of health and safety breaches and trustees’ breaches of duties
  • Advising on squatters’ action and High Court enforcement to recover possession of a 50,000 sq. ft. commercial warehouse
  • Advising on employment disputes involving high-profile companies and senior executives, and injunction work related to breach of pre- and post-termination restrictive covenants
  • Advising a group of 18 investors involved in an unregulated investment scheme seeking repayment of monies that were utilised as an unsecured loan (Challinor & Ors-v Juliet Bellis & CO 2013 and 2015 (Court of Appeal))
