Kim Howell is recognised for her extensive expertise in employment and HR law, with a particular focus on the public sector. With over 30 years of experience, Kim has developed a deep understanding of complex employment issues, including TUPE, organisational restructuring, redundancy management, and dispute resolution. She is especially noted for her strategic approach to public service transformation and her ability to navigate the intricacies of cross-public sector matters, including within schools. 

Kim’s pioneering work in developing an All-Wales strategy for managing equal pay litigation and pay modernisation has cemented her as a leader in this niche field. Her innovative and practical solutions to complex workforce issues have earned her a reputation for delivering results in high-stakes situations. She is also known for her commercial acumen and her pragmatic and conciliatory focused approach to resolving difficult employment disputes. 

Before joining Acuity, Kim was head of Geldards’ LLP public sector employment team, where she led strategic employment matters for a diverse range of clients, advising on all aspects of employment and discrimination law. Her extensive expertise in public service redesign, combined with her ability to craft tailored solutions to complex workforce challenges, makes her a highly sought-after advisor to both public sector organisations and private clients.
