La'Shaunna Williamson

Trainee Solicitor
About

La’Shaunna is a trainee solicitor in our Commercial Litigation team.

Prior to joining Acuity, La’Shaunna graduated in Law from Cardiff University with an integrated Professional Paralegal Placement year, where she worked in residential property. She founded and served as President of the Cardiff University Women in Law Society, as 2022 Relations Co-ordinator of the Commercial Awareness Society (which she also co-founded), and as Relations Co-ordinator of the Ladies of Law Committee.

La’Shaunna was elected as the first Cardiff University Anti-Racism Officer and set up the first Anti-Racism Association on campus. As part of this role, she worked with South Wales Police and NUS Wales UK as a delegate to work towards advancing race equality and dismantling racism by reviewing the Race Council Cymru’s Zero Racism Wales pledge.

Her commitment to inclusion issues was also evident in her work at the ND Lawyer Project, which aims to ensure meaningful inclusion in the legal sector for neurodivergent individuals, and also her volunteer work at Jabilie, a UK charity working internationally to educate and empower survivors and individuals at high risk of gender-based violence.

La’Shaunna was Law Student of the Year Award 2022 at the Next 100 Years Inspirational Women in Law Awards presented at Clifford Chance LLP. She also won the Outstanding Leadership Award 2023 at the Dubai Marketing Conference 2.0 and was selected as one of the 2023 Top 150 UK Leaders in Powerlist Magazine.

Outside of work, La’Shaunna can be found running, playing netball, reading, exploring and hiking new National Trust destinations or doing yoga and pilates.
