Martin has trained, qualified and practised for 10 years in the City (London). He advises on contentious, high-value and often cross-border commercial disputes for a broad range of clients, in particular from the financial services, telecommunications and energy sectors. Martin has advised both multinational companies and high net worth individuals.
Martin possesses specific expertise, in particular, in advising on negligence and misrepresentation claims (including numerous high profile individuals from the sports and media sectors), breach of contract, regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues.
He has also worked on a number of significant public law challenges, including judicial review claims for both private and public sector clients.
Previous secondments include the Legal Unit of the Bank of England whilst at Freshfields. Martin has also acted as a director for a charitable trust.
