Phil leads our London Corporate team. He has extensive experience of acting on a full range of corporate and commercial matters and frequently handles complex transactions, including business and share acquisitions, disposals and investments.

Phil has acted for clients across a variety of sectors and has particular specialisms in technology/IP and healthcare (including dental). He has worked with several university spin-out companies.

Phil has recently been active on behalf of clients in the PR/creative industries, and is the primary contact for leading logistics developer Verdion, as well as lead lawyer for award-winning medical device company Alesi Surgical Limited.

Phil is currently recognised as a “Next Generation Partner” which is a testament to his impressive work on several high-profile deals, including the sale of Swansea City Football Club to an American consortium, the sale of digital signage and IPTV provider Tripleplay Services to US-based Uniguest, and the sale of Hereford Contract Canning to Rutland Partners.

Phil is also a certified expert in data protection, having completed the EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner qualification awarded by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications.

  • Advising the sellers on the sale of USG Limited and the entire issued share capital of Ocean 247 Limited, both sporting goods manufacturers
  • Advising the Verdion group on multiple transactions worth over £200 million in aggregate, including investments and developments in Rosersberg (Sweden), Oberhausen (Germany), Hannover (Germany), Solrod (Denmark) and Rossington (UK)
  • Advising on the sale of Divergent Technologies Ltd, a London-based Web3 engineering team and a market leader in NFT and smart contract solutions, to US company, Proof Holdings, Inc
  • Leading on the acquisition by Cadastra Digital Marketing Ltd of Digital Ethos
  • Assisting the owners of Schwa Consulting Limited on their sale to Definition Agency Limited
  • Acting on the sale of IX Group subsidiaries to Kester Capital
  • Acting on the management buyout of St Helier Beverage Company
  • Advising Verdion on the establishment of Verdion Properties LLP and in connection with a long-term strategic with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan to create a £1bn+ investment platform for logistics properties throughout Europe
