Sandhya Kalyan is a Trainee Solicitor at Acuity Law. She graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Law (LLB) and is currently completing her LLM, due to graduate in July 2027.

Prior to joining Acuity, Sandhya gained legal experience across a range of areas, including residential conveyancing, commercial property, employment and pro bono work. She also served as Deputy Team Leader with Citizens Advice in the Witness Service at Cardiff Magistrates and Crown Court, having volunteered with the service for over a year.

Work Highlights

Assisted with over 30 residential conveyancing transactions during a placement at Lucas Law Solicitors, supporting fee earners throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Gained experience in commercial leases and employment matters during a placement at Darwin Gray LLP.

Contributed to NHS Continuing Healthcare pro bono work through Cardiff University’s clinic in partnership with Hugh James, assisting clients with eligibility and funding entitlement matters.

Served as Deputy Team Leader with the Citizens Advice Witness Service at Cardiff Magistrates and Crown Court, supporting witnesses through court procedures and conducting client-facing interviews.

Worked as a Junior News Writer at Ibex Publishing, researching and writing articles on environmental and sustainability issues for Green Mobility Magazine, including a contribution to the Issue IV Finance publication
