Sarah is a consultant in our Banking & Finance team.

A finance lawyer with 20 years of broad-based experience, Sarah most recently worked in-house with the UK’s development finance institution, British International Investment plc, before becoming a consultant at the end of 2023.

Sarah has significant expertise in emerging markets lending, including corporate lending, financial institutions and trade finance, renewables and sustainable finance. She has a key focus in development finance.

Sarah is also experienced in restructuring and insolvency, including administrations, receiverships and turnarounds.

Sarah trained and worked at two Magic Circle firms in London, Hong Kong and Amsterdam. During her nine years in Amsterdam, she was part of a small Finance practice, gaining broad experience as adviser to lenders and borrowers across leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending (including while on secondment in the loan syndications team of ABN AMRO), receivables and trade finance and other bespoke finance products.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, running with her dog and is training for a coast-to-coast cycle ride across the north of England.
