Temi Ade-John

Temi Ade-John is a Consultant Partner in Acuity Law’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team, advising businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of commercial, intellectual property and reputational disputes.

Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2003 and cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2006, Temi holds Higher Rights of Audience, enabling her to represent clients in all Higher Courts in England and Wales. She is also qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago, giving her experience of advising on disputes with an international and cross-border dimension.

With more than 20 years’ experience in dispute resolution, Temi advises on complex commercial litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, contractual claims, debt recovery, insolvency matters, and intellectual property disputes. She is particularly recognised for her work in contentious intellectual property matters, including trade mark disputes, copyright infringement claims, passing off actions, brand protection strategies and international trade mark portfolio management.

Temi acts for a diverse client base ranging from startups and SMEs to established businesses, investors and private individuals. Her approach combines technical legal expertise with a strong commercial focus, ensuring clients receive practical, strategic advice tailored to their objectives.

Alongside litigation, Temi has significant experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively where appropriate. She is known for providing clear, pragmatic advice and robust representation, whether negotiating settlements or pursuing claims through the courts and tribunals.

Her recent work has included advising on international trade mark protection programmes, acting in complex intellectual property disputes, representing parties in shareholder and investor disputes, and pursuing insolvency and debt recovery proceedings on behalf of businesses and individuals.

Outside of work, Temi is a passionate sports fan – especially of Arsenal – and enjoys travelling, exploring history and current affairs, and discovering new culinary experiences.
