Ben joined Acuity Law in 2022 as a paralegal in the Corporate Healthcare team and qualified as a solicitor in 2025. During his training contract, he completed seats in Corporate Healthcare, Real Estate, Employment, and Corporate, gaining broad experience across commercial legal practice.
Ben has a particular interest in mergers & acquisitions and advising start-ups, supporting businesses through growth, investment, and strategic transactions.
He holds an LLB from Cardiff University and completed his LPC LLM while working part-time. A fluent Welsh speaker, Ben also has a strong interest in sports law, is a member of Law in Sport, and served on the board of Wales Rugby League from 2022 to 2024.
A former semi-professional rugby player in the Welsh Premiership, Ben now enjoys playing cricket and golf in his spare time. He’s a dedicated Scarlets fan and season ticket holder, proudly flying the flag for his West Walian heritage.
Acting for Eco2 Limited in defending an Insolvency Application brought against the company and two others.
Acting for a Claimant in their claim for professional negligence against a firm of solicitors in respect of the firm’s alleged negligent advice in connection with a share and purchase agreement.
Acting for Corinthian Brands, the Claimant in a manufacturing dispute, following a threat by the Defendant to terminate a manufacturing agreement without proper cause.
Acting for dental practice Braceurself Limited in its High Court claim for £4.7m for loss of profit and bid costs of £26,500, amid allegations brought by Braceurself of manifest errors and breaches of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 arising out of an unsuccessful bid. The High Court granted Braceurself permission to appeal, finding that the judge’s ruling that the manifest error was not sufficiently serious to entitle the Appellant to damages was a serious error of law.
Acting for Quantum Actuarial LLP in its long-running dispute with Quantum Advisory Limited, including a recent favourable judgment from the Court of Appeal in January 2023 in which the Court found that the LLP’s obligations to carry out services on Quantum Advisory’s behalf did not include tendering.
Acting for Quantum Actuarial LLP in relation to the LLP’s use of the “Quantum Advisory” trading name.
Successfully acting on behalf of Loches Capital Limited in a pre-action disclosure (PAD) application against Goldman Sachs International and a follow-on application for permission to use the PAD documents outside of proceedings.
Advising LUX Group Holdings Limited, a designer and manufacturer of luxury kitchens, in disputes concerning breach of contract, misrepresentation and claims under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Acting for trustees of Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance in relation to its interest rate swap claims against Lloyds Bank Plc.
Acting for a group of shareholders in their claim against a pension company for deferred consideration following the sale of a renewable energy plant.
Instructed in relation to a multimillion pound arbitration in the London Court of International Arbitration.
