Edward Chapman is a Partner within our Corporate team, based in Bristol.
Ed is an experienced corporate lawyer with a national firm background, who advises on a broad range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructures and corporate governance.
With a particular focus on owner-managed businesses (OMBs), SMEs, and family businesses, Ed supports clients at every stage of the business lifecycle -from incorporation through to exit. He takes pride in offering clear, practical, and jargon-free advice, working closely with directors, shareholders, and advisors to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
He also brings valuable insight into structuring and succession planning, helping business owners align their corporate and personal goals. This includes working with partnerships, LLPs and family investment companies. At his previous firm Ed co-led a South West Private Wealth sector group.
His work often involves coordinating with accountants, corporate finance advisors and other professionals to deliver joined-up solutions as part of deal teams.
Ed’s clients value his pragmatism, commercially focussed approach and his ability to cut through complexity to deliver clear, actionable advice. He is known for building long-term relationships and acting as a trusted sounding board for business owners and management teams.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys playing and watching sports, including football, golf and tennis as well as being an avid Formula 1 fan. He can also be found exploring the countryside around Bristol, chasing after his two young children and his dog.
