About

John is an Associate in Acuity’s Commercial & Technology team.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, John was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016. He began his career in litigation but since 2018 has worked predominantly in commercial and regulatory law.  

John works with start-ups as well as international companies that are expanding into the UK / EU. He is experienced in handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Acting for an AI solutions provider on a contractual dispute involving a large retail bank.

Successfully deescalating enforcement action against a major US-based pharmaceutical group.

Designing a GDPR compliance framework for a major tech company.

Reviewing, drafting and advising on a variety of general commercial contracts.

Advising Mypinpad on a contract to strengthen its strategic partnership with MobiIoT, integrating Mypinpad’s SoftPOS payment solution into MobiIoT’s Android devices.

Advising Oaktree Mobility Limited in negotiating a key licence agreement between Oaktree Mobility Limited and Parker Knoll Limited, granting Oaktree Mobility the exclusive rights to use Parker Knoll’s intellectual property rights to manufacture and sell its renowned rise and recline chairs in the UK.
