Sian Reynolds has provided our business with specialist support that has always surpassed expectation.
Sian Reynolds provides precise, detailed and focused advice.
Sian really understands our needs, and we know we can rely on her for prompt and pragmatic support on all our property matters.
While collaborating with Sian, I observed her exceptional level of thoroughness and professionalism within her domain. She consistently provided comprehensive support to my company throughout our project, effectively breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable segments.
Sian, thank you for all of your support, not just on property matters but generally, in keeping morale high and getting this deal over the line. It’s been a frantic year (and some…) but your role has been completely essential.
What I value about working with you is that I feel that you genuinely position yourself as part of our “crew”. It’s not just about your technical skills (though those are obviously great), it’s that you put yourself on our team.
You bring a real understanding of both the legal and technical problems with a commercial context. It’s not just about answering the legal question – you understand the question, the bigger picture and what the issue really is. You grasp why resolving complicated hierarchy of competing environmental, planning and marine-specific legislation creates commercial opportunities for us. Your technical advice doesn’t just tick a legal box – it helps resolve commercial questions for us and moves our business forward.
When you came to our head office personally last year to help get a key project over the line, it really stood out. I can’t think of many/any senior lawyers who would’ve taken that approach. You got in the boat and paddled with us, rather than just pushing paper from afar. That’s an attitude thing. No doubt it my mind that it comes from your years on the water. I place a big emphasis on attitude and behaviour. Technical skills matter, of course, but I always looked for people who get things done – practical problem solvers, not theoretical problem creators.
Whenever you are involved, it always feels like we are a step closer to a solution. That’s rare. Too often, advisers just present more problems. You take them away.
