About

Summer Clyne is a Trainee Solicitor within our Construction Litigation Team.

Summer focuses upon real estate, engineering and energy related litigation. Having joined Acuity in August 2024, Summer supports the wider construction team in representing clients in all forms of construction-related dispute resolution from court proceedings, arbitration and adjudication. 

Summer graduated from Swansea University, obtaining a 2:1 in Law and during her time, served as the 2023/24 President of the Women in Law Society. Outside of work, Summer is currently studying for her Solicitor’s Qualifying Exams. 

Work highlights

Assisted in the successful defence of an adjudication whilst simultaneously securing a seven figure determination in favour of the developer of a multi million-pound development in Central London. 

Assisted in a successful adjudication concerning the true value of an NEC Contract on behalf of a renewable energy contractor, with subsequent enforcement in the Scottish Courts. 

Advising upon the pursuit of several high value claims pursuant to the Defective Premises Act 1972, Building Safety Act 2022 involving both fire remediation/cladding scheme and substantial water ingress damage. 

Assisting upon the pursuit of final account claims associated with a multi phase residential development scheme within South West England. 

Assisting in the pursuit of claims related to the provision of professional advice related to the architectural design and supply of defective render and waterproof scheme upon a tall building of multiple occupancy.
