Overview

Our Creative Industries team provides specialist legal and business advice to a wide variety of creative enterprises, helping them navigate the complexities of the sector with practical, commercial solutions. We work collaboratively with our clients to provide as much or as little support as they need, from template agreements to bespoke documentation tailored to their specific requirements. 

We support TV and film (scripted and non-scripted) producers across all stages of production, as well as financiers, app creators, fashion designers, brand owners, digital content creators (including podcast and audio creators), advertising agencies, PR firms, and more. Our expertise covers corporate structures, rights agreements, employment law in a freelance world, and property matters, ensuring our clients are protected across all aspects of their business.

Advising a creative communications group on establishing a new stand-alone division providing strategy, content, and full production services. 

Supporting a start-up with a third-party funding deal and corporate structure, including negotiations with investors. 

Acting for a management team in the buyout of a leading B2B PR and content specialist. 

Advising an entertainment technology company on a major supply agreement to provide a studio and rights owner with studio graphics software, hardware, software development and support services. 

Supporting a digital products developer with contracting with TV channels and media companies to develop and support major OTT platforms. 

Advising on the development and production of an historic film depicting the establishment of S4C, including all associated financing, production and distribution agreements. 

Supporting a Welsh/English back to back  drama series production with commissioning, production, distribution, and clearance agreements, including Welsh Government funding.
