Guy has over 35 years of experience as a solicitor, managing partner, in-house legal adviser, company chairman and management consultant.
For the past decade, he has worked as a specialist consultant in management, governance and in-house legal work, taking on a variety of international roles in sectors as diverse as architecture, recruitment and charities. He has handled complex business turnaround situations and private finance initiatives, and is experienced in all practical and legal aspects of commercial management.
Guy is an established presence in the Birmingham legal community, having joined a well-known Birmingham-based law firm in 1989, where he founded its 60-strong specialist automotive and personal injury department. He was founder and managing partner of the innovative national brand Lawyers 2U until 2013.
In 2021, he returned to private practice in Birmingham to become a regional head for a national law firm, responsible for the management and development of its offices across the region.
Guy is currently a Director and Board member of Birmingham Law Society.
Outside of his commercial and legal roles, Guy is an accomplished equestrian and showjumper, and was the 2009 Welsh Amateur Showjumping Champion. He is a former Company Sergeant Major in the Reserved Armed Forces and has also played for an international professional paintballing team.
