Henry is a senior associate in our Real Estate Finance team.

He focuses on banking and real estate finance matters, advising both banks and specialist lenders on property finance and bespoke development deals. He also undertakes some borrower-side work.

Prior to his arrival at Acuity, Henry spent time as an in-house legal advisor to a property development company. He is looking forward to leveraging the commercial awareness he gained in an entrepreneurial and agile in-house environment at Acuity.

Henry studied History and Philosophy at York University prior to his legal training, and enjoys golf, cooking, road cycling and live music when he is not facilitating real estate transactions.

  • Refinancing a multi-lender development finance facility with a new developer taking on an existing project in difficulties
  • Acting for a borrower on the £20 million refinance of purpose-built student accommodation
  • Acting for a specialist lender in relation to a £1.9 million mezzanine loan across a four-block site with two senior lenders with a required transaction timeframe of one week from instruction to completion
  • Working on the initial operations of a new development finance lender, advising on requirements, procedure, funding structure, operations and internal compliance, drafting standard transactional documents and providing holistic guidance for senior and mezzanine transactions
