Can E-billing Help You Better Manage Your Finances?

While developing our newly launched Acuity Client Portal, we consulted at length with our clients to find out exactly what features would be most beneficial. After all, we were building this portal for them. One feature came up time and time again – billing. Clients wanted access to their invoices, in one central secure location, with the ability to pay easily, so that’s exactly what we did.

But what is e-billing and how is it going to benefit you as a client?

E-billing, or electronic billing, is a technology adopted by many sectors, and is becoming increasingly commonplace in the private sector. Our e-billing system sits directly inside the Acuity Client Portal, where you’ll also find live updates on your matters, a Knowledge Bank of know-how and legal templates, and direct access to our products and services portfolio, as well as our legal experts. Everything you need, in one place.

E-billing benefits to clients include:

Budget tracking and transparency

By tracking actual spending against your budget, you’ll have complete visibility of your case spend and the ability to respond proactively as it progresses. This way, there is complete transparency and an audit trail to help you better manage costs. What’s more, the portal can lead you to a whole host of other services that you can use your banked hours for, such as training through the Acuity Academy.

Reporting and forecasting

With historical billing information, as well as details on fees, expenses, and budget erosion, e-billing can help with your reporting as well as giving you the financial insight necessary for forecasting.

Stay on track of invoices

With electronic reminders, if you’ve not opened your bill, your payment date is nearing, or you’ve missed a payment, e-billing can help you stay on track when it comes to paying invoices.

Security

Our e-billing system can be found in the Acuity Client Portal, a secure online portal that only you can access. With end-to-end encryption, as well as firewalls and malware protection, your statements and invoices are secure, as opposed to more traditional methods such as email or post.

Ease and accessibility

As long as you have an internet connection, you can access the Acuity Client Portal and check your billing information as well as make payments anytime, anywhere. It doesn’t matter which device you use, the portal is compatible with mobile, desktop and tablet devices.

As well as helping you better manage your finances, the Acuity Client Portal can also introduce you to a whole host of other products and services that could help save you money.
